In season 1973-74 the Albert lifted the National Drybrough Cup, defeating favourites, Petershill, 3-1 after extra time. Drummond scored twice and Reddington once to secure the trophy.
The Albert had defeated Irvine Meadow 2-0 in the semi-finals, and Whitburn by the same scoreline in the previous round.
